I have a Mac and a PC (Dell with Vista). I have one Mac Widescreen monitor that BOTH computers use via a Gefen 2x1 DVI/KVM Switcher (which Apple suggest I buy). Up until recently I was able to view BOTH computers through the switcher but all of a sudden, now I can't view my PC when I switch over using the switcher. I tried just having a direct connection from the monitor to my PC and still nothing.
Is this a switcher glitch or a PC problem? I'm hoping someone has had this issue before and knows of a solution. BTW, I e-mailed Gefen about this and here's what they suggest (which sounds to me like a scam to sucker me into buying more Gefen hardware):
